Edward J. Dineen

Edward J. Dineen is President and Chief Executive Officer of TPC Group. Mr. Dineen joined TPC Group in January of 2016. Mr. Dineen formerly served as CEO of Siluria Technologies, a venture-funded catalyst and technology company. He is also past President and CEO of LS9, Inc., a biotechnology-based fuels and chemicals company. Mr. Dineen is an industry veteran with more than 40 years of petrochemical and energy experience. He has held senior leadership positions at both large public companies and privately held entrepreneurial ventures.

Mr. Dineen served as chief operating officer of LyondellBasell, as well as president of its $20 billion global chemicals division, which included olefins, aromatics and fuel products, global propylene oxide and derivatives, styrene, acetyls and ethylene oxide and derivatives. He joined Lyondell in 1998, leading its urethanes and performance chemicals, intermediates & performance chemicals and chemicals and polymers businesses before being named president of global chemicals. Mr. Dineen began his career at Arco Chemical Company, where he held various positions in engineering, planning, supply and business management.

Mr. Dineen currently serves on the Board of TPC Group serving on the Audit and Safety Environmental and Sustainability committees. He also serves as a member of the Board of Directors for Syzygy Plasmonics. He was previously on the Boards of Spartech, LS9, EPIC and Siluria Technologies. He represents TPC Group on the board of the American Fuel & Petrochemical Manufacturers.

He earned his bachelor's and master's degrees in chemical engineering from the Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art and Princeton University, respectively. He also holds a master’s in engineering management from Drexel University.
