Our Community

TPC Group is more than a business in the neighborhood; we are a vital member of the community. For more than 75 years, we have been committed to operating safely, acting in an environmentally responsible manner, and making a positive difference in the lives of those who live, work, and do business in the communities where we operate.

We believe that strong community connections help us be a good neighbor and maintain transparency in our actions and communications. We are accountable to our neighbors for how we operate and conduct business. That commitment goes beyond safe and environmentally sound operations; it also means actively participating in the efforts that help communities thrive.


We Make A Difference

Our Company supports efforts that enrich quality of life for employees, neighbors, and the communities where we operate.

Through the TPC All for One Foundation, an independent 501(c)(3) organization, we invest in the communities where TPC Group does business and where our employees live and work. The Foundation helps create positive impact by changing lives, strengthening communities, and making them safer, healthier, and better places to live and work. It also supports employees and their families facing hardship caused by unexpected circumstances that create financial burdens.

Through responsible stewardship of resources, the Foundation supports programs and builds partnerships with nonprofit organizations that share a commitment to making a meaningful impact in key focus areas aligned with TPC Group’s community outreach strategy.

The key focus areas are:

Each year, we receive hundreds of applications and requests for funding. Requests that align with our mission (detailed below) and geographic focus are most likely to receive full or partial support. Unfortunately, the volume of requests exceeds available resources, so we are unable to support every request.

Donation and sponsorship requests to TPC Group that meet the following criteria will be given priority consideration:

  • Associations, organizations and special events in geographic areas where TPC Group operates
  • Associations, organizations and special events that are supported by TPC Group employees through volunteer efforts and financial contributions
  • Associations and organizations that qualify under Sections 501(c) 3 of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code
  • Associations and organizations cannot be political or religious in nature

Community Initiatives

Our commitment to supporting strong, thriving communities is reflected in several signature initiatives.

  • College Scholarships. Our Mark of Excellence Scholarship Program, launched in 2006, has awarded $1.1 million in academic scholarships to more than 200 students, providing educational assistance to graduating seniors pursuing two- and four-year degrees. Read more here.
  • Charity Golf Tournament. In partnership with valued business partners, TPC All for One Foundation raises funds for nonprofit organizations that help strengthen communities across Southeast Texas. Since 2006, the Annual Charity Golf Tournament has raised nearly $2.1 million for 50 nonprofits. Eligible nonprofit organizations are encouraged to apply for funding and be considered as beneficiaries of this annual event. Click here to apply to be considered as a Tournament Beneficiary.
  • United Way Campaigns. Each year, TPC Group employees and the TPC All for One Foundation support United Way through fundraising activities that benefit local communities. Since 1994, these efforts have contributed more than $1.1 million to the communities where we operate.
  • Community Day. ONE Day brings employees and family members together to support selected nonprofit organizations through a shared day of service. The event reflects TPC Group’s culture of community involvement and giving back. For more information click here.

TPC Group’s culture of giving also extends to programs that support employees’ personal efforts to give back to their communities. Eligible employees can participate in one or more of the following:

  • Matching Gifts Program. TPC Group matches employee contributions to qualified 501(c)(3) organizations dollar for dollar, up to $250 per employee each calendar year.
  • Volunteer Paid Day. Employees who volunteer for 12 or more hours with a qualified nonprofit organization outside of Company-sponsored volunteer events held during business hours receive one floating holiday.
  • Employee Lottery. Employees who dedicate significant time to nonprofit organizations, including service on boards or committees, may help direct TPC Group support to those organizations through the Employee Lottery, which is held twice each year.

About the Foundation

The TPC All for One Foundation brings our All for One culture to life by giving employees a meaningful way to support colleagues facing hardship and invest in organizations that matter to our employee community.

Created in response to Hurricane Harvey in 2017, the Foundation began as a way to help employees and families affected by crisis. Today, it continues that mission while also expanding our ability to support nonprofit organizations and community initiatives.

What makes the Foundation especially powerful is employee involvement. In addition to supporting coworkers in times of need, employees can help direct funds to causes and organizations that reflect the interests of our broader employee community—extending our impact well beyond TPC Group.

With Company support and employee generosity, the Foundation helps us care for one another, strengthen communities, and turn shared values into action.
