Texas Petrochemicals Charity Golf Tournament Raises $47,000
HOUSTON (Wednesday, December 2, 2009) – Texas Petrochemicals, Inc. (TPC) (TXPI.PK - news) recently hosted its fourth annual charity golf tournament, which benefited the Cossaboom Family YMCA in Houston’s East End and the Estelle and Allen Fetters Center in Groves, Texas.
Each organization received $23,500. The Cossaboom Family YMCA offers many services and programs to its members, as well as after-school programs for children in the community regardless of the participant's ability to pay. The Fetters Center operates solely on donations to provide a safe and nurturing environment for specially-challenged adults. This allows family members to take a break from full time care, while allowing the clients to interact with others and participate in group events.
The tournament raised $47,000, thanks in part to supporting sponsors of the event, including premier sponsor Crosby Tugs LLC. Platinum Sponsors: Evergreen Environmental Services; SGS Oil, Gas & Chemicals Services Division; Kirby; Goodgames, and Baker Botts. Gold Sponsors: Fellon-McCord & Associates; Lockton Marine & Energy; Clean Harbors; Air Liquide; Magnum Engineering; Apex Energy; Trammochem; Brock Service, and King & Spalding. Since 2006, Texas Petrochemicals’ charity golf tournament has raised more than $115,000 for local non-profit organizations.
